BSB: Mar-Train Yamaha Racing and Jack Kennedy Targets Points at BSB Brands Hatch Finale.

By Dawn Hammersley
Mar-Train Yamaha Racing’s Jack Kennedy is ready and raring to go as the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship comes to an end this weekend with the final round of the season returning to Brands Hatch.
The Dubliner made his Superbike debut on the Mar-Train Yamaha Racing R1 with direct technical support from Yamaha Motor UK via GYTR Pro Shop Raceways Motorcycles (McAMS Yamaha) at Donington Park in the previous round.
The Lisburn based team are targeting points placed finishes as they collect valuable data to help them prepare for their inaugural season in BSB’s premier division.
Mar-Train have had a hugely successful 2022 season in the Quattro Plant British Supersport Championship claiming title victory. The 34-year-old sealed the title with two rounds remaining to take his Supersport Championship tally to four.

I’m really looking forward to riding the Mar-Train Yamaha Racing R1 again now that I’ve had time to process and digest all the data from Donington. I feel that we are going into Brands with a little more knowledge whereas Donington we were going in completely blind.
“’m definitely more at ease, not as nervous, and slightly more confident going into this weekend. The weather forecast is looking positive which I am delighted about as I want to get as many dry laps in as I can as I feel that is the next step to build confidence with the bike.
My aim this weekend is to try and bring home some point score finishes.
This weekend Chrissy Rouse is massively in my thoughts along with his family and friends – it’s going to be weird not seeing him and racing with him. The tributes are going to be tough as everyone is missing him.
Tim Martin – Mar-Train Racing Team Owner
The final round of the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship is almost upon us, and we are excited to continue our fledgling journey in the British Superbike Championship as we gear up for next season.
This weekend we are counting on the dry weather so we can continue learning and progressing towards a better lap time.
These last few weeks have been tough in the motorsport world with the tragic events in BSB and World Superbike paddocks – it shows that although our sport is the safest it has ever been, it can still be so dangerous and cruel.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, teams, and friends at this terrible time. I want to wish all competitors a safe, fun final round and hopefully Bradley Ray can bring the title home for Yamaha and OMG Racing in 2022.
