Mar-Train Racing and Jack Kennedy have ended their 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship on a high following their Supersport Championship win and a Superbike debut for the final two rounds.
Saturday’s Race One of the Championship finale at Brands Hatch saw the team achieve their first British Superbike Championship points with Jack finishing in an impressive 14th position onboard the Mar-Train Yamaha Racing R1.
A challenging Sunday saw Jack suffer with constant arm pump which resulted in the Dubliner retiring from both races on Sunday.
During the weekend, Jack continued to improve in each session helping the team to collect valuable data which will help them prepare for the 2023 British Superbike Championship.

We have had an amazing year on the Mar-Train R6. We managed to win almost every Supersport race and we wrapped the Championship up early which was amazing and then I was gifted and treated by the team to move up to the Superbike which was an amazing present – you could say Christmas came early!
I want to say a huge, big thank you to Tim and Sonya. It has been a really enjoyable year for me, I have really loved racing. I always look forward to coming to every race weekend to see the team – we have such a great atmosphere and always have a laugh.
I’m delighted I’ve made the record books as the most successful British Supersport rider in history. We have managed to get our total Supersport wins up to 62 so I am very proud of that.
Now I’m looking forward to the 2023 season on the big Yamaha R1. I’ve really enjoyed my time these last few rounds on the machinery and it’s great to get a head start.
Tim Martin – Mar-Train Racing Team Owner
Coming into the 2022 British Superbike Championship we had a mission to win the British Supersport title again which we succeeded with three race rounds to go.
We then made the decision to step up to the premier division of Superbikes for the final two rounds of the Championship for the first time as a team. We now have two rounds under our belt which gives us the opportunity to learn new things and what we can improve on going into next year.
This puts us in a really good position going into 2023. The background work starts almost immediately where we will be putting a plan together for 2023. Testing will start at the beginning of the year and we will then progress and go from there.
