
Moto2: Pedro Acosta Wins the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia.

Pedro Acosta extends his championship lead and takes his seventh victory of the 2023 season.
For the Moto2 Pertamina Grand Prix Aron Canet was on pole position, Manuel Gonzalez qualified in second place with Filip Salac rounding out the front row.
Pedro Acosta got the holeshot into turn one, two riders had contact; Alonso Lopez and Alberto Surra. Aron Canet was in second place, Manuel Gonzalez was in third place, Tony Arbolino was in fourth place. Jake Dixon was in seventh place.
Four laps in and Arbolino was in third place and was catching Canet, Pedro was 0.4 seconds ahead at the front of the field. Sam Lowes was in 11th place just behind Intact rider Darryn Binder.
At the half-way point of the race Acosta had a 1.3 second lead at the front, Arbolino was losing ground on Canet and was coming under pressure from Fermin Aldeguer for the third place position.
Dixon ran wide at turn 16, the Brit rejoined the track in sixth place just behind Arbolino. Sam Lowes was inside the top ten, running in ninth place. Pedro extended his lead to over two seconds from Canet, Acosta just looked untouchable yet again!
Acosta crossed the finish line to take his seventh victory of the season, Canet finish yet another second place, Aldeguer took the last podium spot in third place, Dixon finished in fourth place with Gonzalez finishing in fifth place.

Pedro Acosta leads the Moto2 championship standings on 277 points from Tony Arbolino who is on 212 points, Dixon is in third place on 172 points.
