Tavullia based Pertamina Enduro VR46 team launch their 2024 campaign
VR46 Ducati head into 2023 with a new title sponsor, Mooney after two years have left and been replaced by Pertamina Enduro from Indonesia.
2023 was a successful year for the Italian squad taking three Grand Prix victories, one sprint victory, six further Grand Prix podiums and five pole positions.
Marco Bezzecchi finished third last season making great progress from his rookie season. Bezz struggled at the end of the season due to injury which he’s been able to recover from over the winter. Bezz that very commanding victories at Argentina, France and India winning by a very comfortable margin. The VR46 Academy rider will be aiming to go two further and take the title from his friend Francesco Bagnaia.
Fabio Di Giannantonio is the second rider to join the VR46 team who’s not apart of the VR46 Academy (the other being Lorenzo Dalla Porta in 2016). Diggia had a poor first half to 2023, but after a major setup change to his Ducati GP22 he became very competitive and took his first podium at Philip Island and then went on to take his debut premier class victory at the Lusail International Circuit. Diggia will not have Frankie Carchedi as his crew chief this season with the mechanic staying with Gresini, but Diggia will no doubt be continuing in his way with setup to have a competitive 2024.
