Experienced Italian team Gresini Racing unveil their 2025 livery.
2024 was a fantastic season for Gresini Racing, taking three Grand Prix victories and 1 Sprint victory with Marc Marquez and a podium at the German Grand Prix for Alex Marquez.
Marc Marquez leaves the satellite team to move to the Factory outfit in Bologna. Alex Marquez stays with the team for his third season and he’ll be joined by the young Spanish prospect Fermin Aldeguer.
Since joining Gresini Racing Alex Marquez has been able to showcase his skills taking multiple podiums and a Tissot Sprint race victory at the 2023 British & Malaysian Grand Prix.
Fermin Aldeguer was the hot favourite for the 2024 Moto 2 Title after a stunning finish to 2023. However, the change to Pirelli tyres hampered the Murcian’s chances, struggling in a few rounds to get the Boscoscuro chassis to work. He ultimately finished in fifth in the standings, despite this he is still the favourite for the rookie of the year title despite being up against the reigning Moto 2 champion Ai Ogura who won the title also on a Boscoscuro chassis. Aldeguer will have experienced crew chief Frankie Carchedi who won the 2020 MotoGP World Championship with Joan Mir and has taken race victories with Marc Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio.
Aldeguer will be running on the dominant Desmosedici GP24 while his team-mate Alex Marquez will run the factory spec GP25, so the potential is high for the team to be top independent and help Aldeguer towards the rookie of the year title.
