The perfect start to proceedings for Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Jose Antonio Rueda in Thailand.
The wait is finally over as the Moto3 championship got underway in Thailand. Italian rider Matteo Bertelle took the first pole position of 2025, SIC58 Squadra Corse’s Stefano Nepa qualified in second place, with Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Jose Antonio Rueda rounding out the front row of the grid. Britain’s Scott Ogden stated from the second row of the grid in fourth place, an impressive start to the season from the young CIP Green Power rider.
Lights out for the first time in 2025 as Jose Antonio Rueda lead the Moto3 field into turn one, Matteo Bertelle took charge at the front, all riders were safely through the first few corners.

Second placed man Yamanaka crashed out at turn five, things were heating up at the front with 10 laps to go in the race.
Rueda and Munoz were battling it out to lead the race, the two had a 05 second lead to third placed rider Adrian Fernandez. Munoz was handed a long lap penalty for his harsh move on Lunetta. Angel Piqueras was in fourth place, Nepa was in fifth, Scott Ogden was in ninth place.
David Munoz crashed out on lap 13, disastrous first race of the season for the Liqui Mo9ly Dynavolt Intact rider. Alvaro Carpe was in the mix holding his own in third place, Rueda now had a three second gap at the front.
Two riders went down at turn 12, Piqueras and Joel Kelso were now out of contention for a podium finish. On the final lap Ogden got taken out by another rider going wide at turn 12, so unlucky for the Brit as the finish line was in sight!
